When you hear the word chainmaille, you may think of the armour worn in Medieval times, but you can also use this to make great looking and unique jewelry. Chainmaille is the process of weaving metal rings called jump rings together to create unique pieces of jewelry. I'm going to share two links to make the two weaves in the picture above.
The one on the left is a basic weave called the 2 by 2. It is usually the basis of basic chains. It's simple to make and really pretty once the piece is done. The one on the right is a little more challenging, but once you get started, it is pretty easy. This is called the helm weave. It looks unique and elegant.
